Harry Gagnon’s Thursday Night Football Prop Bet for Week 11

The Game:

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns

The Play:

Pittsburgh Steelers to Win by 7-12 Points (+650)

We are most definitely going to take a shot this week with the Pittsburgh Steelers and a +650. Every once in a while, you have to take a flyer if the opportunity and value are there and I think this week, the value is there for the taking. The Steelers are actually three–point dogs on the road this week despite winning four games in a row, including not giving up an offensive touchdown last week to the Los Angeles Rams.

During the winning streak, the Steelers have won by an average of seven points per game. History is also on the Steelers side in this rivalry. Pittsburgh is 11-1-1 against the Browns in their last 13 games and the average winning margin during those games is 9.3 points. Running back James Conner is back from injury so that should boost the offense, and second year wide receiver James Washington is starting to develop as a more integral part of the Steelers offense; as shown by his first career touchdown last week against the Rams. Quarterback Mason Rudolph is a decent surveyor of the field and will look to use Conner on some screens and open the offense a bit while providing Rudolph with a release valve.

Defensively, Minkah Fitzpatrick has been a monster and doing everything under the sun since coming over from the Miami Dolphins in a mid-season trade. Not only is he helping solidify the backend of the Steelers’ defense, but he is putting points up on the scoreboard while doing so; he notched another score on Sunday, picking up a Jared Goff fumble and bringing it to the house. I see Pittsburgh taking control of this game in the 4th quarter, with Cleveland struggling to score touchdowns and eventually Pitt pulling away late as they continue to roll and winning by 10.

Prediction:

27 Pittsburgh Steelers

17 Cleveland Browns
