Harry Gagnon’s Thursday Night Football Prop Bet for Week 12
Colts to Win by 1-6 Points: +430
This Thursday night affair is huge for both sides as the Colts and Texans are tied for first place in the AFC South division. Both teams stand at 6-4 and the Tennessee Titans are on their heels with a 5-5 record. Earlier this season, the Colts beat the Texans in Indianapolis by seven points and Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett had a monster game going for 326 yards passing with four touchdowns.
Defensively that game, Darius Leonard, Pierre Desir and Rock Ya-Sin combined for 24 tackles. Heading into this game, the Colts come in hot and the Texans, well, let’s just say… not. Houston got blown out in Baltimore by Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, meanwhile the Colts were minus Marlon Mack but running back Jonathan Williams filled in just fine; going for 150 combined yards in a blowout of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
History lately has been on the side of the Colts as well. In last year’s wildcard game, the Colts shutdown the Texans offense and won going away. This playoff game was after a regular season tilt where the Colts won in Houston by three. In 2017, Indianapolis won in Houston by six and Brissett again was great throwing for over 300 yards in the victory. The Colts are 6-1 straight up in their last seven games in Houston and are 4-0 straight up and against the spread in their last four games versus divisional opponents on the road. When the bright lights are on, the Texans don’t shine that well; they are 7-23-1 in their last 31 games at night. Jacoby Brissett is maturing into a talented quarterback and a solid leader on the field so let’s take a shot here with him and the Colts coming through in crunch time in a pivotal division game.
24 Indianapolis Colts
23 Houston Texans
