What: QuikTrip 500
Where: Atlanta Motor Speedway
Hampton, Georgia
When: June 7, 2020
This will mark the 60th NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This is an oval, intermediate track that is a mile and a half long. This is a track that suites either the hottest and/or luckiest driver on the racing circuit right now in the No. 2 car, Brad Keselowski. Keselowski he been the recipient of a couple of late race wrecks around him and has pulled out two wins because of that. In his last three races in Atlanta, Keselowski has two wins and a second-place finish.
Points leader Kevin Harvick did something last week in Bristol that he had not done all year and that’s not finish in the top 10 of any race. However, this track is one that suites Harvick as well (has either led or been second in laps led here in the past 4 races, including 292 laps led in 2017). So, it will be interesting to see how Harvick approaches this race considering he hasn’t really been in contention the last couple races.
NASCAR News and Notes After Nine Races
Laps Leaders
- 391—Kevin Harvick
- 369—Alex Bowman
- 368—Chase Elliott
- 341—Brad Keselowski
- 322—Denny Hamlin
NASCAR Cup Points Leader
1—370 Kevin Harvick: Is averaging a NASCAR-best sixth place average finish
2—346 Joey Logano: Logano has picked up two wins this season, but it should have been three; Chase Elliot hit him on the last lap in Bristol and knocked them both out from a chance of winning
3—325 Chase Elliot: Elliot recorded his first win of the season last week in Charlotte
4—315 Brad Keselowski: While Harvick has the best average finish on the circuit, Keselowski is the only other driver who’s average finish is under 10th (9.4)
5—289 Alex Bowman: Despite being 5th in points, Bowman has the worst average finish (17.7) of any driver in the top 16
6—280 Martin Truex, Jr.: Had a couple of tough races in Charlotte, which was surprising because he usually rules the field there
7—276 Denny Hamlin: He has two wins this season in Darlington and Daytona
8—274 Dave Blaney: Blaney ran well in Charlotte with a pair of third place finishes
9—256 Kurt Busch: Has six top 10s on the season
10—253 Kyle Busch: The NASCAR warrior races in all seven events in Darlington and Charlotte

Match-up Winners
-115 Brad Keselowski
-115 Joey Logano
Things have certainly been going Keselowski’s way and he has won here in Atlanta two times in the past three races. Logano’s head may not be in the right place after the late wreck with Elliott in Tennessee.
Harry’s NASCAR Bet: Keselowski
-115 Alex Bowman
-115 Erik Jones
Bowman has had some unlucky breaks the past few weeks but has been running well. Bowman is fifth in the cup points standings and has two top 5 finishes in Atlanta the last two races.
Harry’s NASCAR Bet: Bowman
-115 Jimmy Johnson
-115 Kurt Busch
What I said in the previous selection about Bowman fits Jimmy Johnson perfectly as well. Busch is still a bit to inconsistent for me at this point.
QuickTrip 500 Pick: Johnson
QuikTrip 500 Prop Bets and Harry’s Best Bet to Win QuikTrip 500
QuikTrip 500 Winning Car Number Prop Bet:
+110 Over 16.5
-140 Under 16.5
The under looks tasty with the chance to bet on the luckiest driver in NASCAR in Keselowski (2) and the best driver with Harvick (4). You also get Chase Elliott (9) in this mix for the under.
Harry’s QuickTrip 500 Prop Bet Pick: -140 Under 16.5
QuikTrip 500 Winning Car Number Even or Odd Prop Bet:
-240 Even
+175 Odd
Again, you are getting Keselowski and Harvick in this wager. You are also getting Logano in the number 22 car, and he is 2nd in cup points, plus Bowman in the 88 who just happens to be 5th in points. Between those four they have six of the nine wins so far this season.
Harry’s QuikTrip 500 Prop Bet Pick: -240 Even
Top 3 Finish
+250 Alex Bowman
Bowman has been running at top speed and has proven it by being 3rd in laps led this season. He has had some unfortunate incidents but he is due to finish high on the leaderboard again and will do so in Atlanta.
Harry’s Best Bet to win QuickTrip 500:
+500 Kevin Harvick
I expect Harvick to make a run to the front early and never really look back. In the past five races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Kevin Harvick has one win while leading for 765 of a possible 1,625 laps. In his last two races here, he has led for 35% of the time. The next closest is Kyle Larson at 22% and he still happens to be suspended for an off-track ordeal.
To everyone out there, have fun watching the race and I hope I can help make you a few bucks at the same time. Happy betting
