The Players Championship Odds from Harry Gagnon
The Tournament:
The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass
From Palm Valley, Florida
Through two of the four Florida swing tournaments the courses have proven to play tough. Plenty of golfers have scored in the past couple weeks in the high 70’s and low 80’s. The “fifth major,” as many of the media call TPC Sawgrass, hopes to bring out the best in a field that is second to none.

The Players Championship Odds and Whole Tourney Match Ups
-120 Bryson DeChambeau over Hideki Matsuyama
The SMU product DeChambeau has been on fire, recording four top 5’s in the last six tournaments. Matsuyama is coming off a tough weekend in Orlando as he recorded scores of 80 and 77.
-125 Justin Thomas over Patrick Cantlay
Thomas has five top 10 finishers so far this season and is currently 2nd in the Fed Ex Cup standings. In 2016, Thomas scored a third–place finish at Sawgrass. As opposed to Cantlay who may be rusty as he’s been away from the game for almost a month.
The Players Championship Odds: Top 20 Finishes
-125 Jon Rahm
Rahm is getting back in the swing of things after getting married two weeks ago. If he’s at the top of his game the -125 price should be a steal… and an even nicer wedding present.
+150 Tommy Fleetwood
Fleetwood missed the cut last week in Orlando but has played well at sawgrass over the past few campaigns. Fleetwood is set to rebound, especially since he finished fifth last year and seventh in 2018.
+175 Webb Simpson
Simpson won in Phoenix in February and won this event two tournaments ago… and at plus money, this is a steal.
+350 Henrik Stenson
I had Stenson at +190 to miss the cut in Orlando and he did as he opened on Thursday with a 77. He has a history of good tournaments here so let’s give him a shot to comeback from his poor performance a week ago.
The Best Prop Bets for the Players Championship
Top Left Hander
+150 Bubba Watson
+175 Phil Mickelson
+190 Brian Harman
Mickelson really had a rough time with the wind and hard greens in Orlando last week. If there is any wind at all, trusting Phil and Bubba will be hard to do considering they can be quite erratic in those type of conditions. Harman had a compete tournament at Sawgrass last season finishing in 8th position, so at that price I’ll take a shot with him.
+190 Harman
Will Any of These Golfers Hit it into the Water on Hole 17
+300 Yes on Dustin Johnson
+300 Yes on Brooks Koepka
Why not try the yes since both big name players have not been bringing their best game to the golf course as of late. When Johnson misses badly, he misses baaaaaaaadly, and Koepka recorded a score of 81 last week in Florida. Drink up!
Hole 17 Highest Score
Over 7.5 +110
Under 7.5 -140
Not sure which way to go here, but again, if the wind picks up it could be deadly to some golfers. In Florida, don’t be surprised if we see a snowman in the middle of March. (snowman is a score of eight in golf on a single hole…> 8 < looks like a snowman… get it?)
