Harry Gagnon’s College Football Best Bet of Week 10
The Game:
Michigan Wolverines at Maryland Terrapins
The Play:
Michigan -18 on the Road Against the Terrapins
The Michigan Wolverines are coming off their most impressive win of the season; embarrassing the Irish of Notre Dame 45-14. QB Shea Patterson and RB Zach Charbonnet each had two touchdowns in the blowout. Charbonnet has had to overcome early season fumbles, but now leads the Wolverines with nine touchdowns on the ground while WR Donovan Peoples-Jones is playing strong again after coming back from early season injuries and has pulled in three touchdown grabs.
Patterson is a great team leader and should put this game away early and looking at total points will give you the reason why; Michigan has scored 85 points more than the Terrapins in the same amount of games this season. Michigan is led on defense by Ambry Thomas and Lavert Hill who both have a couple of interceptions on the year.
Maryland, on the other hand, is trending in the opposite direction; they have lost five of their last six games and have given up 126 points in their last three games. The Terrapins are in the middle of a brutal three games stretch in which they lost by 42 last week to undefeated Minnesota, have Michigan this week, finish things off against Justin Fields and the Ohio State Buckeyes…. Good luck! On offense, Maryland has just one player with either 500 yards rushing or receiving and as a team are 125th in the nation in total offense. Maryland started the season hot, but all that early season momentum has ground to a halt. Now they are getting head coach Jim Harbaugh and his Wolverines at the wrong time. This will be a Michigan romp.
