NFL Week 15 Best Bet
When these two beat up teams met last year in Washington the Eagles won an ugly game 24-0 and this year it could be even uglier. Both teams have had numerous injuries and have had to rely on backups to try to win games and the offensive production just hasn’t been there. For example, this past week Redskins running back Derrius Guice went down with a season ending injury and on Monday night the Eagles lost their best wide receiver Alshon Jeffery as well. The Eagles on Monday had so many injuries in an overtime win against the Giants and are now relying on guys we had never heard of before. Philadelphia is banking on WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside a rookie out of Stanford and 2nd year RB (6th round pick out of Louisiana Tech) Boston Scott to carry the load for QB Carson Wentz.
The Eagles are 19th in the league in total yards which is alright considering the new rotation every week, but their defense is what is keeping them in the hunt for the NFC East title and are 3rd in the NFL against the run.
Washington is the worst team in the league, and no one is even close to them. The Redskins are 32nd in passing yards and are 32nd in total yards this season. This team has only scored 21 or more points this season just 3 times has scored less than 10 points five times. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been a huge disappointment as he enters his eighth game, he has just 3 passing touchdowns. Haskins has not received a lot of help from his offensive line either as he has been sacked 26 times and for the season all Redskins quarterbacks have been sacked 44 times for over 300 lost yards. This game will be a grind for both NFC East rivals and the Eagles will probably pull this out but in a defensive struggle for both.
