English Premier League Odds: Week 9 Update
The second international break of the season has ended, and we now approach week 9 of the 2019/20 Premier League Season. Liverpool remains top with eight wins out of eight and has increased their five-point lead over Manchester City to eight points due to City’s shock 2-0 home loss to Wolves.
For the first time this season, Liverpool are officially the sportsbooks favorites with odds of -150 to win the 2020 EPL Title. Manchester City has dropped to second with odds of +130 to retain their Premier League Title.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City are expected to win their respective games, but City cannot afford any more slip-ups, otherwise, they risk falling further behind Liverpool this season.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered an embarrassing 3-0 loss at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion before the end of the international break. The result has heaped pressure on manager Mauricio Pochettino and whether his job should be in danger. Tottenham now sits 9th in the league with just three wins out of eight.

Manchester United have no right to be in this conversation, but because they are Manchester United, they manage to slip in. They’ve won just two Premier League games in 13 attempts and show no signs of improving. They sit 12th in the Premier League and have won just one game since their opening day 4-0 victory over Chelsea.
