The Week 11 EPL Odds Have a Familiar Face at the Top
We have reached week 12 of the 2019/20 Premier League season and we finally see the clash of the titans this weekend. Manchester City travel to Liverpool on Sunday to cut the six-point lead Liverpool have amassed over the current champions.
Manchester City kept their second-place position for another week, coming back from 1-0 down to defeat Southampton 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
City wasn’t the only team to come back from behind on the weekend with Liverpool leading a stunning comeback against Aston Villa with two late goals from Andy Robertson and a 95th-minute winner from Sadio Mane to keep Liverpool’s unbeaten record intact.
They remain the sportsbooks favorites for the fourth week in a row with odds of -125, to win the 2020 EPL Title. Manchester City also remains second with odds of +110 to retain their Premier League Title.
They finally meet each other next week in the biggest game of the season and could potentially put Liverpool up nine points ahead of City just four months into the season. Going into the game, City is favorites to win the game with the odds of +140, according to sportsbooks. Despite City’s obvious talent, that is something I didn’t expect due to multiple reasons.
Liverpool remains unbeaten this season and hasn’t lost at home in the Premier League since April 2017 when they lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace. City’s record at Anfield isn’t exactly impressive, with their last win there recorded in 2003.
Liverpool’s odds to beat City opens at +170 while odds on a tie open at +250, according to sportsbooks.

The EPL Odds and the Best of the Rest Looking to Capture the Title
Tottenham Hotspur is without a win in their last four Premier League games after a 1-1 draw with Everton. Cenk Tosun of Everton scored a 97th-minute winner to snatch the draw and condemn Tottenham to 11th in the table, 10 points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
Sportsbooks have their updated odds on winning the 2020 EPL odds at a staggering +40000.
Arsenal yet again let another lead slip this weekend, allowing Wolves to snatch a draw after going 1-0 in the first half courtesy of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang’s 50th goal for Arsenal.
Faith in manager Unai Emery is fading and fast. His line-ups continue to confuse Arsenal fans and good reason.
He seems set on playing defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira in an attacking midfield role despite having Dani Ceballos and attacking midfielder extraordinaire Mesut Ozil on the pitch, the latter who made just his second Premier League appearance of the season after seemingly being frozen out by Emery.
Sportsbooks has the odds of Arsenal winning the EPL Title at +40000.
Chelsea have found their groove and has won five league games in a row and are frontrunners for a third-placed finish and are hot on the heels of Manchester City
They defeated Watford 2-1 away from form and American teenager Christian Pulisic seems to hit the ground running with another goal to take his tally to four league goals; he’s already tallied the maximum amount of league goals he’s scored in his career.
Chelsea now possesses the third-best odds to win the EPL title which opens at +5000.
It’s one step forward and two steps back for Manchester United. After defeating Norwich 3-1 last week and a 2-1 win over Chelsea in midweek in the Carabao Cup, United looked like they had turned a corner. However, we were wrong as they lost their fourth league game of the season in a 1-0 away defeat at Bournemouth.
They sit 10th in the league and won’t be surprised if the media pressure heats up on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if the team does not make a massive improvement before the rapid Christmas schedule takes hold.
Sportsbooks’ odds on Manchester United now open at +20000.
Liverpool and Manchester City remain the only clubs worth putting your money on. Liverpool remain favorites going into week 12 and we shall see if this continues until the end of the season.
