How The EPL Title Odds Look for Week 10
We have reached week 10 of the 2019/20 Premier League season and this week is officially the end of Liverpool’s 100%-win record as they drew 1-1 with Manchester United. Liverpool, however, remains top, but their lead has been cut from eight to six points as City defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 to get back to winning ways.
For the first time this season, Liverpool have not won every single game, demonstrating the incredible run they’ve been on. They remain the sportsbooks favorites with odds of -125, a decrease from last week’s odds of -150, to win the 2020 EPL Title. Manchester City also remains second with odds of +110 to retain their Premier League Title.
Manchester City’s next fixture comes against Aston Villa who’ve found their feet in the Premier League as they’ve won two of their last three games in the league.
Liverpool host the struggling Tottenham Hotspur who scrambled a late goal to claim a 1-1 draw with bottom of the club Watford. Tottenham last won at Anfield in 2011, demonstrating the tough task they have at hand.
Both Liverpool and Manchester City are the sportsbooks favorites to win their games and will meet each other in three weeks to set-up an early top of the table clash which will have title implications.
The EPL Odds and the Best of the Rest Looking to Capture the Title
Tottenham Hotspur went another week without a win, drawing to Watford 1-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Dele Alli struck in the 86th minute to equalize and now have just two wins in their last eight Premier League games, a record that is embarrassing for a club of Tottenham’s stature.
Sportsbooks have their updated odds on winning the 2020 EPL odds at a staggering +25000: odds that just keep increasing each week with each bad result.
Arsenal’s recent poor performances may have gone unnoticed due to winning against Aston Villa and Bournemouth, respectively. However, it’s now on full show after their 1-0 loss to Sheffield United yesterday which las left fans fuming with boss Unai Emery for his team selection.
Arsenal now sits 5th in the table, a position which illustrates their quality more than last week when they were 3rd and just a point off Man City.
Sportsbooks has the odds of Arsenal winning the EPL Title at +12500.
Chelsea, Manchester United and the Rest of the EPL Title Odds
Chelsea is going from strength to strength, with a third consecutive win, this week over Newcastle at home. Marcos Alonso scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea now sit fourth in the league, level on points with third-placed Leicester City.
The return of Callum Hudson-Odoi is huge for Chelsea, who put in a great performance against Newcastle which included an assist and will prove to be an influential player for the west London club for years to come. Chelsea next faces Burnley away, a physical game that will test the mettle of Chelsea’s young stars.
Chelsea now possesses the third-best odds to win the EPL Title which opens at +6600.
Manchester United didn’t lose this week, so I guess that’s a positive for the. They did put in a good performance against league leaders Liverpool (via help from the referee) but conceded a late goal to finish the game 1-1. United have won just one game in the league since their opening day 4-0 victory over Chelsea.
They sit 13th in the table after their draw and face Norwich away in their next game.
Sportsbooks’ odds on Manchester United quite hilariously winning the 2020 EPL Title open at +50000, no change from last week.
Liverpool and Manchester City remain the only clubs worth putting your money on. Liverpool remain favorites going into week 11 and we shall see if this continues until the end of the season.
