2020 EPL Top Four Odds Preview Week 29

We have reached Week 29 of the 2019/20 Premier League season and the top four race has continued its exhilarating ride.

Tottenham Hotspur has lost consecutive league games for the second time this season under head coach Jose Mourinho. A 3-2 loss at home to Wolves dented Tottenham’s chances of bridging the gap between them and Chelsea in fourth place. Despite leading twice during the game, Wolves hit back twice before Raul Jimenez hitting the winner.

Tottenham dropped to seventh due to the defeat and are now six points behind Chelsea.

In positive news for Spurs, Jose Mourinho said that Harry Kane may be back for the last five games of the season. Tottenham’s top scorer has been out since New Year’s Day after tearing his hamstring and could now be back for the final few weeks of the season which could prove vital in Tottenham’s Hotspur’s top four chase.

Sportsbooks have Tottenham’s updated odds on finishing in the top four opening at +600.

Arsenal has won consecutive league games for the first time since the opening two fixtures of the Premier League season… in August.

Despite going down 1-0 within the first minute against Everton, Eddie Nketiah who started ahead of Alexandre Lacazette scored his second-ever Premier League goal for Arsenal to equalize the game. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put Arsenal up 2-1 just six minutes after Nketiah’s goal before Richarlison made it 2-2 before half-time.

Aubameyang hit his second of the game and his 17th this season, equalling Jamie Vardy as the Premier League top scorer to win the game for Arsenal, who have a game in hand and sit eight points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

Sportsbooks have the odds of Arsenal finishing in the top four at a lowly +1600.

Chelsea Odds to Finish in the EPL Top Four

Chelsea has just one win in their last six league games after a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

Bournemouth scored twice in quick succession to cancel out Marcos Alonso’s opener in the first half. Alonso doubled his and Chelsea’s tally in the 85th minute to salvage a draw for Chelsea’s whose poor form has seen their rivals close the gap on them.

Chelsea sits three points ahead of fifth-place Manchester United with three months left in the Premier League season.

Chelsea continues to possess the third-best odds to finish in the top four which open at –125.

Manchester United’s unbeaten streak has increased to four games after their 1-1 draw with Everton. Although, some say they were lucky to have earned that point after Dominic Calvert Lewin’s winner was disallowed after VAR decided that Gylfi Sigurdsson was in David De Gea’s line of sight.

Nevertheless, United earned a point after Bruno Fernandes scored his third goal for United and second league goal in a row.

They now sit just three points behind Chelsea in fourth and face Manchester City at home in their next league game.

Sportsbooks’ odds on Manchester United to finish in the top four are open at +275.

Can Leicester City Correct Their Form and Remain in the EPL Top Four Odds Race?

Leicester City now has just one win in their last seven games after a massive slide down in their form.

Their only win was a 4-1 mauling of relegation candidates West Ham United and have lost their last two games against Manchester City and bottom of the table Norwich City.

Goals are a huge problem for Leicester who hasn’t scored in their last three games with Premier League top scorer Jamie Vardy scoreless since December.

Leicester still sits third in the Premier League table and are five points ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea.

Sportsbooks’ odds on Leicester City to finish in the top four open at –600.

Wolves have risen to sixth in the table after a crucial 3-2 win at Tottenham. Despite being down twice during the game, Wolves hit back with two equalizers before their top scorer Raul Jimenez netted the winner to leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur in the table.

Wolves have lost just once in their last seven games, with that loss against league leaders Liverpool.

Sportsbooks’ odds on Wolves to finish in the top four open at +350.
