EPL Odds and Favorites to Win the 2020 EPL Title

English Premier League Title Odds for Week 8

We now approach week 8 of the 2019/20 Premier League Season in where Liverpool remain with a 100% record and five points ahead of Manchester City. Despite the point difference, Man City remain the sportsbooks favorites to retain their titles, while Liverpool is the underdogs compared to City, but possess the second-best odds in the Premier League.

City has seen their odds continually slash due to Liverpool’s consistent winning. City’s odds to win the 2020 EPL Title now open at -125, according to sportsbooks. Those odds are the lowest it’s been since the start of the season. Liverpool’s odds to win the title open at +120, according to sportsbooks.

Both teams ended week 7 of the EPL season with wins against Sheffield United and Everton, respectively. Brighton and Hove Albion and Burnley, respectively. Manchester City’s next fixture comes against the struggling Wolves, who’ve won just one league game this season.

Liverpool faces a big test in Leicester, who’s risen to third in the table after winning four of their last five games, including an impressive 5-0 win over Newcastle last Sunday. Both Liverpool and Manchester City are expected to win their respective games and will continue a title race in which Liverpool are currently winning and showing no signs of slowing down.

The EPL Odds and the Best of the Rest Looking to Capture the Title

Tottenham Hotspur narrowly won their last match against Southampton 2-1, despite having 10 men after Serge Aurier was shown two yellows in the first half. They continue to be a disappointment so far this season and have won just three of their seven fixtures this season.

They were knocked out of the EFL Cup last week by League Two side, Colchester United, to eliminate one potential piece of silverware. Sportsbooks have their updated odds on winning the 2020 EPL odds at +660.

Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal have experienced a mixed season so far but seem to be in a better place than Spurs. Arsenal has won three of their last four matches with striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang taking most of the plaudits, scoring seven goals in seven games for the Gooners this season. winning two, losing one and drawing one.

Sportsbooks has the odds of Arsenal winning the EPL Title at +15000, showing that Arsenal has a long way to go if they want to be title contenders once again.

Under Frank Lampard, Chelsea is slowly but surely are improving with each game, with Lampard’s footballing philosophy taking shape within his young squad. Chelsea won their first Premier League game at home this season last Saturday against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Chelsea possesses the fourth-best odds to win the EPL title which doesn’t count for much since sportsbooks has Chelsea winning the 2020 EPL Title at +10000.

Manchester United are currently in freefall. They’ve won just two Premier League games in 12 attempts and show no signs of improving. They sit 10th in the Premier League, overtaken by the likes of Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Leicester, in which the latter has the 6th best odds to win the Premier League, kicking United to the 7th best odds to win the EPL title which stands at 25000.

Liverpool and Manchester City remain the only clubs worth putting your money on. A new contender in Leicester have been introduced, however, they would better have suited to a top-four race, rather than a title race.
