EPL Odds and Favorites to Win the 2020 EPL Title

2020 EPL Odds Preview Week 7

We now approach week 7 of the 2019/20 Premier League season and are one slow step forward to see who will win the 2020 EPL Title. The top two teams in the league, Liverpool and Manchester City were victorious once again this week to stay first and second in the league, respectively.

Liverpool won a close 2-1 contest away to Chelsea while City recorded their biggest ever Premier League win, decimating Watford 8-0 at the Etihad Stadium. These two victories further separated these two clubs as the favorites to win the 2020 EPL Title away from the rest of the top 6.

Sportsbooks this week has Man City winning the league at odds opening at -137. This demonstrates City’s lowest odds to win the title since the start of the season. While, Liverpool’s odds to win the 2020 EPL Title at +138, according to sportsbooks. It’s been a steady decrease in terms of odds for Liverpool this season, who had odds of +150 to win the title just last week.

Liverpool’s form this season where they have won every single Premier League game, they’ve played alongside City’s obvious defensive deficiencies are the reason for the change of odds, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool is soon the sportsbooks favorites to win the title

The EPL Odds and the Best of the Rest Looking to Capture the Title

After another loss, Tottenham Hotspur has dropped out of the top four and fallen to seventh in the league after losing 2-1 away to Leicester City who has now risen to third in the league.

After a disappointing performance in the Champions League midweek where they drew 2-2 with Olympiacos, Spurs’ talisman Harry Kane spoke out about their struggles and said they are still making the same mistakes as they did five years ago, and he understands the noticeable frustrations from manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Therefore, sportsbooks’ odds on Tottenham capturing the 2020 EPL Title stand at +5000, which is an increase of +1000 from last week.

Arsenal doesn’t fare much better with odds of +6600, according to sportsbooks, after a close 3-2 win over Aston Villa. Despite the win, Arsenal continues to look vulnerable however one positive from the match is that record signing Nicolas Pepe was finally on the scoresheet, scoring a penalty, his first goal for Arsenal.

Chelsea and Manchester United remain as the two teams from the Premier League’s top 6 elite (not based on Premier League table) with the worst odds to win the 2020 EPL Title. Sportsbooks’ odds on Chelsea winning the title open at +12500, after a 2-1 home defeat to Liverpool. While United who lost yet again on the weekend, this time at the hands of West Ham has odds to win the 2020 EPL Title at a staggering +20000.

Liverpool and Man City, yet again, remain the clear and away favorites to win the 2020 EPL Title.
