Milwaukee Brewers Odds
After losing two of their first three games to begin the season, the Milwaukee Brewers will look to a stabilizing force from the 2019 stretch run to get them on track as they visit the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday.
Right-hander Adrian Houser, who is set to start against the Pirates in their home opener, compiled a 3.28 ERA in 12 starts after joining the rotation last July. He is 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA in four career appearances against Pittsburgh, including one start. Brewers shortstop Orlando Arcia is batting .400 (4-for-10) with one RBI.
Pittsburgh Pirates odds
The Pittsburgh Pirates are aiming for their second straight win Monday as they prepare for their home opener at PNC Park against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Pirates salvaged the finale of their season-opening series at St. Louis on Sunday, winning 5-1 behind third baseman Phillip Evans, who collected his first three hits of the season.
Lefty Steven Brault is set to get the start for Pittsburgh, but his spot in the rotation isn’t certain, and he may form a piggyback tandem with a pitcher to be determined, Pirates manager Derek Shelton said. Brault went 4-6 with a 5.16 ERA in 19 starts last season but was sidelined down the stretch due to shoulder discomfort.
