Los Angeles Dodgers Odds
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ dismay with the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal could become evident when they play at Houston on Tuesday for the first time since the 2017 World Series. That season is now known as the one where the Astros used electronic means to steal signs. The Dodgers lost that World Series in seven games.
Hard-throwing right-hander Walker Buehler will make his season debut on his 26th birthday in the first of a two-game series. The Dodgers have eased their prized young arm in to the season and he is expected to be used lightly, at least at the outset. New Dodger Mookie Betts has started the season 3-for-20 (.150) with no extra-base hits as L.A. went 2-2 in its season-opening series against the San Francisco Giants.
Houston Astros odds
Memories are sure to be rich when the Houston Astros play host to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. The last time these teams played at Minute Made Park, the Astros took two of three right in the middle of the 2017 World Series. The last of those three contests was Game 5 of the series, a classic 10-inning affair the Astros won 13-12 in walk-off fashion.
The Astros opened the 2020 schedule by winning three of four against the Seattle Mariners and ended the four-game set with a plus-13 run differential. Alex Bregman hit his 100th career home run Monday. Left-hander Framber Valdez (4-7, 5.86 ERA last season) is scheduled to take the mound in his season debut, making just his 14th career start.
