Tampa Bay Rays Odds
The Tampa Bay Rays look to run their winning streak to six by finishing off a four-game road sweep of the Boston Red Sox on Thursday afternoon. The Rays have pummeled the Red Sox through the first three games of the series, including a 9-5 victory Wednesday night as Willy Adames, Brandon Lowe, Yoshi Tsutsugo and Austin Meadows homered.
The offensive explosion followed Tampa Bay scoring eight runs in each of the first two games of the series. The Rays have scored 38 runs over their past 45 innings, compared to one run in the previous 18 innings.
Right-hander Tyler Glasnow (0-1, 5.56 ERA) gets the start in Thursday’s finale, looking to go five innings for the first time this season.
Boston Red Sox Odds
Left-hander Kyle Hart makes his major league debut with the Boston Red Sox desperately in need of a strong pitching performance against the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday afternoon.
The Red Sox have lost the first three games of the four-game series, allowing at least eight runs in each contest. Wednesday’s affair was a 9-5 defeat in which starter Zack Godley allowed eight runs over the first three-plus innings.
Hart, a 19th-round draft pick by Boston in 2016, went 12-13 with a 3.52 ERA in 27 games (24 starts) between Double-A and Triple-A last season. He gets the nod with the Red Sox having lost four of their past five games.
